Seef (Arabic: السيف) is a district near Manama in the island kingdom of Bahrain. Seef is a result of active reclamation work which has dramatically changed the Bahrain coastline.
Surrounded on three sides by the sea, Seef is new zone of reclaimed land comprised of luxury apartments, five star hotels and shopping malls, including the Kingdom's largest and most popular mall, the Seef Mall. Seef is also home to Al Aali shopping complex, which hosts numerous upscale designer boutiques such as Balenciaga, Chloe, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Jimmy Choo, Emilio Pucci, Coach, Gucci, Bulgari, Moschino and Bally, amongst others. Rents in Seef are reportedly the highest in the entire country.
Seef is fast developing into a business centre with many local and multinational companies opening their offices in the area. Seef had to its credit, the Almoayyed Tower, which was the tallest building in the country, however was overtaken by the Bahrain Financial Harbour twin towers in Manama's central business district (CBD) in 2007.
Seef also is home to the Bahrain Mall, which is another large shopping mall. The Bahrain Mall houses the Géant Hypermarket which has become an important shopping center for people in Bahrain.
